And The Winner Is....

So I won another prize this week. It totally made our whole weekend, since we are broke and weren't going to do anything for Valentine's Day.

All week, the radio station has been asking people to call in and tell them "What you did to melt your Valentine's heart." The grand prize was a Valentine's night dinner for two at the Melting Pot, and tickets to a new musical called "Snapshots."

I tried to be caller nine on Monday night, and didn't get through. On Tuesday night though, after hanging up and redialing about six times, I was caller nine! I made up a story about how I had made Ryan a scrapbook last year with pictures and keepsakes from our dates (which wasn't entirely a lie, I really did that for his birthday one year!) So I won a Dave Matthews CD and was entered into the grand prize drawing, which would take place Friday afternoon.

Friday afternoon finally came and I was listening to the radio all day. About 2pm, the office phone rang and it was the radio station telling me that they had just drawn my name and I had won!! I left work to go pick up the prize package and sailed through the rest of the day.

People wonder how I win "all the time," but they don't realize how many times I call the radio station each week. It's probably at least once a day, trying to win everything and anything. Hey, it works sometimes! Although I am planning to buy a lottery ticket next week, hahaha.
