This Is The Plan

I never posted about my new business endeavor!! Right now, it's just a silly dream. But if I ever come into some money- watch out.

There are two cupcake boutiques that just opened in the city. One is called Sara Sara Cupcakes, and it is set up in an old white mansion. Everything is painted white, the tables and chairs are white and modern and the only color present in the building are the Gerbera Daisies set in clear glass vases on each table. It. Is. So. Cute. The cupcakes are to die for....I finally got to try them last week, after our PRSA meeting let out downtown. I got 3, one for my boss and one for Patrick (our web guy). Mine was vanilla, and I wasn't expecting it to be so good! I have seriously been craving them every day, ever since. The other places is called Cuppies and Joe. They serve coffee too, and it looks a little more homey and inviting from the pictures I've seen. They've also got some crazy flavors, and the bloggers have been posting about this place for weeks.

I was on Twitter, updating my status about coming back to the office with cupcakes and one of my new friends from OU- she's the journalism counselor for the students, but she's my age- wrote me and told me to bring her one. We started talking about these cupcake places...and it eventually turned into a back and forth discussion all day long about opening our own cupcake place in Norman! We had so many great ideas!! Like- we could target the sororities and make a killing. Do them up in the house colors and with fondant greek letters on top. Then there are the Red Hat Ladies, who are everywhere....Sooner Schooner cupcakes, vegan cupcakes...I wish I would have saved the conversation, because it was hilarious.

I just wrote another 2 paragraphs and accidentally erased them when I hit something on the keyboard. Ugh.

I was telling Ryan about it last week, and he said he was proud of me for being "business-minded," and that when he starts making money, I can do whatever I want and he would support me (the only thing he ruled out was a scrapbooking business, man!) Deep down I don't know if I would have the courage to start up something like this....and it will probably never happen, which makes me sad.

Happy Tuesday. I planned a lunch date with Rebecca at the Iguana Lounge downtown, since today is always so hard to make it through. And Iguana Lounge is....right next to Sara Sara cupcakes! YES!!!

Note: Just tried adding images for the first time- not sure why both of them were posted to the top, and not where I positioned them in the text. Hmmmm.

when posting pictures on blogger, they always show up at the top. you have to go back and put them where you want them *after* you have uploaded them to the blog. just drag them down to the spot you want them in the text.

i love, love, love the cupcake shop, as much as i did when i first heard of it.
