Valentine's Day Part Two

We celebrated again on Sunday, since it was the actual holiday and I'm a complete sap. Ryan woke up and went out to buy us breakfast burritos- which is extremely romantic, if you know how much I love those things! I gave him his cards from me and Bella...and he gave me a card and a love letter. It was the best letter I have ever received, it made me cry.

Enough of the sappy stuff!

We left the house to go to the play that I had won tickets for. It was called "Snapshots," and it was showing at The Lyric Theatre. When we showed up, we thought we were locked out. We walked around and around the building, and the doors were locked. The building looked really old and rundown, and tiny! I couldn't believe this was where the play was showing. Finally, we figured out that the line of people who were dressed up and walking furthur down the sidewalk were headed to the NEW location of the Lyric Theatre. It was much nicer.

I love musicals, but five minutes into the show I knew this one was going to be awful. And I consider myself a theatre person, having performed in plays all throughout high school. It was about this girl and guy who met in high school and were meant to be together...but stuff kept happening and they ended up with other peopke, blah, blah, blah. These people were super cheesy and didn't fit their roles at all.At intermission, Ryan and I bolted. Haha! He felt bad knowing that the people next to us would realize we had left in the middle. I was like, who cares?? I think I did a lot of damage dragging him to that one, and it will be awhile before I'll be able to convince him to go to another play.

We headed to The Melting Pot for our 4 course fondue dinner. It did not disappoint! We had loaded baked potatoe cheese fondue to start out, then cherry blossom salads, and our main course was lobster (which I didn't eat!!), chicken, filet, mushrooms and ravioli which we got to cook in some kind of broth fondue. Dessert and drinks were the best- it was white strawberry chocolate fondue with brownies and fruits and marshmallows to dip, and my martini was a "Love Martini" with strawberries floating on the top shaped in hearts! The manager ended up comping our drinks too, so the whole meal was free (except tip!) It was wonderful. And now I just remembered how many calories I have yet to burn off from that night.
