Last day of work and then I'm off for 13 glorious days!!! Too bad I'm not really that excited about what I'm going to be doing during that time.
I'm just really not into Christmas this year at all. I know it's horrible, but I don't want to go to Shawnee tomorrow....I just want to sleep in and hang out at the house. We are getting up early to go to Ryan's mom's house, where his grandma and great uncle will also be. Then we have to go to his other grandma's for the rest of the day to be surrounded by his aunts and uncle, cousins, grandma, her boyfriend, Ryan's dad and whoever else decides to stop by. It's crowded and the house is cluttered with "granny" stuff...and we stay ALL DAY. And night. We usually don't get to leave until late. If it was my family, I would be thrilled.....I know, I know. I'm a bad person. I just get tired of worrying about things to talk about and get bored sitting around. And I miss my family during the holidays so much it hurts.
Ryan and I had a spat last night and I'm still pissed at him, which is probably going to ruin our gift exchange tonight. I had told our friends Jamie and Sean that we would come over for dinner and see their new house. I told Ryan we would try to get there around 7. Well, I got off work early and came home at 6. He was playing his computer game (WHAT ELSE IS NEW???) and I told him that on the way home, there was really heavy fog and traffic was bad, so maybe we should leave right now just to make sure we get there in time. They live in Yukon, which is about 25 minutes away on a good night with no fog. He tells me he thought we weren't getting there until 7, so he just keeps playing his game. So I go out into the living room and wait. I sat on the couch for 30 minutes while he kept playing and I was just getting madder and madder. By the time he came out I was ready to explode. I probably over-reacted but I just felt so disrespected that he didn't acknowledge what I said, like it didn't matter. His game. His stupid game. I want to microwave it until it catches on fire. I yelled at him andhe said he didn't even want to go, so I said, "FINE! THEN YOU CALL JAMIE AND TELL HER THAT!!" We ended up driving to Yukon in silence. When we pulled up to their house, he looked at me and started to laugh and that pissed me off even more. He said, "I'm sorry we're one minute late," and I yelled "That's not the issue!" and slammed his door really hard.
By the time we left the house, we were in better moods because we had to fake being happy with Jamie and Sean. They're so great. I love going over there....and we played this hilarious Rabbids game on their Wii. But I'm still mad....and he won't apologize because he thinks I'm obsessed with controlling him and blames our fight on me, like usual.
I'm hopefully getting out of here around lunchtime, then I'm going to either take a nap or clean the house...since Ryan is on break but hasn't done any cleaning because he waited until the very last second to do all of his shopping, or else he's on the computer.

Christmas party
Is it Christmas yet?
Last week I took a whirlwind trip to DC for our company Christmas party and IT WAS CRAZY.
Wednesday morning our plane was leaving at 7am, so I had to get up at 4am to make sure I was all packed and straighten my hair, blah blah blah. Patrick was supposed to pick me up at 5:40 to get us to the airport on time. He texted around 6 asking where my house was, ahhh!!! We barely made our flight...our boss was on a different flight but it was leaving at the same time, so he was calling us wanting to know where we were. We were like, "We're going through security! We're coming!!" So we ran down the hall and were like the last people to get on the plane. We had a quick layover in Denver and got to DC around 1pm. We had to go straight to the office because Patrick had to be in some meetings, so we took a cab and when we got there everyone was so happy to see us. It was fun for awhile, walking around and talking to everyone I hadn't seen in person since June. Then I snuck out to go check in at the hotel.
The hotel was called "Hotel Rouge,' and it reminded me of a prostitute house. Everything was in red, and even the elevator had really dim red light when you got inside. My room had a giant red leather headboard and a giant mirror (like the size of the wall!) next to the bed! Haha!
I was exhausted, so I layed down for 20 minutes and then it was time to go to the dinner. I had bought this awesome black cocktail dress from Express that I was dying to wear....it was layered and had a big black flower on the front. I bought sparkly black diamonds to match. Well, our boss put on the email that he sent out "Business Attire." So all the girls dressed down, they said last year everyone wore dresses but they weren't sure this year since he put that. So I just wore my striped black and blue sweater with black leggings.
The dinner was at the Hay-Adams hotel and it was really, really fancy! I got there before everyone else, so I made small chat with this old Asian guy who was serving me champagne. When everyone showed up, we drank champagne and talked for awhile...then we had a four course meal with steak and the best chocolate cake I've ever had in my life. Our wine glasses were never empty, the Asian guy was stalking around with the wine bottles and we were laughing so hard that we were crying. I was timing him to see how long it took for him to fill up our glass after we drank half....at one point, I was telling my friend Maria that I was going to time her glass too, and as soon as she set it down he was magically there to fill it back up. So funny. I drank wayyyy too much.
When dinner was over, we all walked to a cool bar and we had the back room to ourselves basically. My boss opened a tab and we could order whatever we wanted (again, not a good idea for me). We were all getting pretty goofy, taking pictures and just talking for hours. We finally left there to go to another bar and by then, everyone was wasted. The girls were dancing on the club lounge seats like crazy people, the bosses were laughing hysterically.....I don't know if we blended in or if everyone in there thought we were insane. I went over to the bar and bumped into a guy who bought me a drink (hey, I can't say no!) He was asking who these crazy people were...I was like...oh, I'm not with them, haha!
At some point we all left....it's a miracle I made it out with my purse and coat....and went to another bar! I don't remember much from that one, I just remember getting seperated from the group and wandering around some dark hallways...it was an old house that was turned into a bar I think. I finally just took a cab home. The cab driver was foreign and I was cracking him up...he asked if he could take me on a tour of DC, free of charge! I said no thanks, so he wrote his number down and said to call him later if I changed my mind.
The next day I was SO SICK and barely made it without throwing up in the cab and plane. Ugh. I'm a retard. But it was so fun!!!!

Flaky People Make Me Break Out in Hives
I AM SO MAD AT RYAN'S FRIENDS!! I guess they're mutual friends, but for these purposes, let's pretend they aren't in any way associated with me.
We are in Ashley and Mike's wedding. Great. Fine. Never mind that it's weird I'm a bridesmaid, since I barely know Ashley...but I'm trying to be supportive and happy. The whole group is going to be there...all of our old friends from college (I mean Ryan's friends.) We planned to drive there to save money, and Wes and Kenny said they would ride with us too. That was back in August. Ashley booked everyone's hotel rooms, and put people together in a room so we could split the cost since it's going to be 5 nights and the hotel is nice. That was a few months ago.
SO.....this week, I am trying to write/call everyone to double check this is still the way it's going to be. Nobody writes me back. Fine.
I call the people who are supposed to be sharing a room, Josh and Jana. Josh tells me Jana doesn't want to share a room and they are going to look for another hotel so they can have their own. Really???? When were they planning to tell us? The wedding stuff starts in a little more than a week, so by this point we're basically being screwed over!! I call Ashley to vent and tell her I don't know what we're going to do....I can't afford to pay $500 for a hotel room at Christmas time! So she tells me to call Josh back and tell him that everyone in the wedding party is supposed to stay at the hotel together for a reason, because we are going to be drinking and she doesn't want any of us to drive. Josh says he'll have to discuss with Jana. This goes on....until FINALLY Josh calls back to say ok, they'll do it. They will share a room and split the cost with their "friends." Fabulous.
Ryan finds out from Kenny that he has decided to fly straight from Thailand to Alabama and won't be carpooling. Which....ok, I can see why that makes sense....but WHEN EXACTLY were you going to tell us??? Ryan just happened to learn this little bit of knowledge when they were both online playing their stupid computer game. Then, today Wes finally writes back. Here is our conversation, copied straight from Facebook:

I'll drive down there with you all. Was my original plan anyways. Talked to you the other day already anyways. So we would leave what time dec 26? Early morning or during the day?

That was before I knew how many people were trying to fit in one car. It makes more sense for me to fly than to drive to OK and then drive to AL.

Well, now it's just Ryan and me....and I'm flying to North Dakota after the wedding so Ryan is going to have to drive back by himself. I wish you and Kenny would have let us know sooner, because now it's a little more than a week out.
He wasn't even going to say anything!!! And we aren't trying to fit tons of people, Ryan has a big SUV and it was going to be the 4 of us.
So now Ryan is stuck driving back from Alabama by himself because I just checked flights and they are way too expensive last minute. I DON'T EVEN WANT TO GO TO THIS WEDDING!!!
There. I feel better now.

Holiday Party
I went down to Bricktown last night for the AEP Holiday Party at the XO Lounge....it's in the basement of the Colcord hotel and it was awesome! It's really upscale, I felt like I was in Vegas!
It's small and dark...there are little cubes in the back that each have their own table and wrap-around couch. You can pull a white curtain across the cube and make it private. We were drinking "Pornstars" all night because they were the drink special- but we never ordered it by the name because it bothered us, haha! It was vodka and some kind of grapefruit/orange juice, they were yummy.
I made a few new friends. This guy Trevor Bruner who works at Morgan Stanley...he was there with his dad and they were cracking me up. They had tons of stories about backpacking around Europe and I was laughing all night. Ashley introduced me to a guy that I think she might be into, his name was Ben. He seemed to be quite entertained by her, he followed us around all night. He's moving away soon though, so I hope she doesn't get too close.

Well, What Can I Say?
Sooo......the concert was one of the best nights, EVER, of course! I picked Hailee up from her house after work because we had to get to the casino really early to get our tickets. The radio guy didn't have them when we showed up, but he said we had time to eat dinner and he would come find us when he got them.
So we decided to go eat at Jason White's restaurant, Autographs....we wanted a drink, and I knew the prices were kinda high so I decided to try my luck on a slot machine on the way over. I told Hailee that whatever I won I would put towards our dinner. I was only betting .40 cents a spin, and on my second spin I got the bonus game!! (I was playing Super Jackpot Party, the best machine in the whole casino in my opinion). I had a crazy streak of luck and kept picking the big amounts and "extra" hits....and ended up with $36!! Not bad!! We were laughing so much because I made it look so easy. We went to the restaurant and ordered wine and dinner, and my winnings covered our whole tab.
The radio guy found us in the restaurant and it was time to go sit down, so we went inside the concert hall and located our seats. They were pretty good, not front row...but very close! It actually ended up being better since swarms of teenage girls started crowding the stage after the show started. She was soooo great live, it was unreal. I've been to concerts where the singing is ok, but you can tell they aren't as good as what their CD's sound like....not Colbie! She rocked it out! I was busy half the time trying to get a good picture without the flash on. It didn't work too well, if you've seen my facebook pictures.
The show was pretty short, she did all the popular songs and one or two from her upcoming album. Then it was time to go meet her! We waited in the backroom behind the stage and she took FOREVER to come out. Her manager said she likes to "wind down after the show." We went to the back of the line and were last to meet her (there were some casino people who got to come back there too). So when it was my turn, I got so nervous and just walked up like a retard with my CD and ticket stub and said something like, "I have two things!" Gawd. She shook my hand and said, "I'm Colbie" (No! Really?) and I told her, "I'm Andrea." Classic. She signed my ticket stub and I promptly smeared the ink when I took it back from her. It happened so fast, Hailee didn't get a chance to take a good picture. The one she did take, I deleted because I was hunched over the table and looked like a hobbit.
I was pretty pissed that she wouldn't pose with anyone for pictures, so I waited until she did her radio interview and then when she was walking about of the room with her entourage, I sucked it up and called, "Colbie...my picture didn't turn out at all, would you mind taking another one with me?" She acted a little put out, which I thought was pretty diva-like. She was holding a milkshake and her friend asked her if she wanted to put it down so she could take the picture. She just said no, and we took it really fast. And again, I LOOKED HIDEOUS! I was pretty bummed out when I saw it. But at least I got a close-up picture and nobody else did! Ha!

Colbie Callait!
Yahoo!!!!!
Yesterday at work I listened to the radio alllll day, waiting for them to play "Mistletoe" so I could call in to try and win tickets and backstage passes to the Colbie Callait concert tonight. I never actually thought I would get through, but a tiny part of me wanted to at least try...so I didn't even leave my chair to go to the bathroom, even though I had to pee really really bad the last hour before they played it. FINALLY, like 4 hours later...I heard the song...and called in using both my cell phone and our business phone. It was a busy signal for 4 or 5 tries, and then they answered! And told me I was caller #2, try again. SHOOT! So I manically kept dialing and listening to the busy signal, miserably. But just when I was about to give up, they answered again!!! And asked me what my name was!!! I WON! Like I said....YAHOO!!! I love her, I could listen to her voice all day. And I actually almost bought tickets earlier this week, but they were kind of expensive and I'm poor so I didn't. This is so much better. I'm going to Border's on my lunch break today to find a different CD from Coco for her to sign.
I'm really glad it's Friday. I don't know what I'm going to do all day at work, I've finished everything earlier in the week. It's a lot harder to pass the time when there's nothing to do. I was supposed to go to my Dream Dinners session tonight, and I don't think I can reschedule. I'm not sure what to do...I'm going to call the lady and beg to change the days. Tomorrow we're taking Ryan's dad out for his birthday. Probably to a restaurant or something, and then we're going to watch the Big 12 game. Go Sooners.
Sunday I have plans to go see "Australia" with Mallory. I've been dying to see it, Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman were on Oprah last week and they were so cute. They showed clips from the movie and I think it's going to be GREAT. Other than that, not much else going on...I need to send all of the Christmas presents to my scattered family, and I'm not looking forward to waiting in the post office line. I'm glad I started early this year, at least I'm pretty much done and can relax now!

Fender Bender
On the way to work today, I stopped at a red light. I was behind a giant orange moving truck. All of a sudden, I see its tail lights come on, and it starts backing up INTO MY CAR!!! Mind you, I was a good distance away but by the time I realized what was happening, and threw my car into reverse, it was still coming and I heard a noise as it hit the front of my car. I wanted to cry.
Then, the light turns green and the truck starts to drive away! The driver didn't even see me! At this point, I'm blaring my horn and flashing my lights. I'm not letting this asshole get away. I called by boss and told him what was going on, and he gave me the police phone number to call for a hit and run. I tailed this truck all over the city until it finally stopped at a house.
I rolled down my window (it was raining, like a monsoon outside) and yelled at the guys...they were walking away into the house. When I told them they hit me, they acted all surprised and we all went around to the front of my car to inspect the damage. He saw it before me and said, "There is not even one scratch on it." So I looked...and it is clearly evident where he hit me! The paint is all messed up in two different places, the GM symbol is so scratched up that it's ruined, and parts of the plastic vents are scraped! Plus, it looks like the panel got pushed in a little bit, it feels really loose.
So I told the guy I wanted his DL and insurance info, and he got on the phone with his boss. We called a cop to come out and write up a report, and when the cop asked the guy what happened, he told him that he thought I probably had those scratches and scrapes on my car before today. WHAT!! I told him, NO! This is a brand new car! Then he told the cop that the moving truck is a standard, so he might have rolled back a bit at the light. The cop asked me if I was following too close, I said absolutely not! I had to back up like 3 or 4 feet and he still hit me! I never park right behind cars at lights, for this exact reason!
I was so mad that the guy was trying to get out of everything, I just sat in my car and waited for the cop to finish the police report. The moving truck company better pay for the damages or somebody's going to be sorry. I guess I have to wait and see....I'm going to call the manager tomorrow if I don't hear from the insurance people, but I'm sure he's just as shady as his employees.
Weighty Issues
I got a very rude awakening yesterday when I went to the gym.
I've been avoiding scales and denying the slow, steady weight gain....but I was curious to see how bad the damage was before I started my workout, so I stepped on and....!!!!
I can't believe it. I really can't. No wonder all my jeans are getting so tight. Wow, I am a complete fat cow.
So I ran/walked for an hour and burned 500 calories. I only ate a salad for lunch. I felt mildy better. I did the exact same thing today. I might have lost 1/2 pound in 2 days.
From now on, I'm seriously dragging my lazy butt to the gym. It's really gotten out of control.

Happy Birthday Hailee
Tonight is Hailee's bday party. Once again, I find myself trying to muster up enough energy just to make it through the work day, and I know I'm not going to be up for a night out with 4 other girls I don't even know. We're eating at Bellini's, which is going to cost a fortune AND on top of that, she wants to go to the Wormy Dog instead of a club like she originally planned. Jason Young Band is playing, so I had to buy a $15 ticket just to get in. Do I sound cheap? Well, these days I am. I'm literally trying to save every penny since I might be without my job in a month or two.
I bought her Twilight, I hope she likes it as much as me.
Tomorrow we are going to see a movie (Hailee and I, because I had to push back our movie date earlier this week). I really want to see Madagascar! I love cartoons! And this one is supposed to be better than the first one, which I already loved. I'm such a kid.
I wonder where my boss Larry went. He left for lunch 2 hours ago. My co-worker disappeared as well. So at the moment, I have 80s music blasting because I am all alone. I'm really really going to miss this job.

weekend review
I decided to be a copycat, Rhiannon.... and post my own weekend review.
So on Friday, we got to leave work early if everyone dressed up for Halloween. I put on my Sarah Palin wig, glasses, suit and campaign button and hit Target to pick up some candy before I got to the office. I brought Ryan's John McCain mask with me, and made my boss wear it to take a group picture. Patrick was Gilligan and just wore a shirt and hat from home.
Larry took us out to eat lunch at the Iguana Cafe...while we were there, he told us that unless a miracle happens and we get new business between now and Christmas...that he thinks he and I are going to be let go. He said do what I have to do and look for a new job, that I could go on interviews and not sneak around bc I need to look out for myself. So I was kind of sick over that the rest of the day...somehow I thought we had moved past that danger. I guess I'm never really in the loophole. I've been stressing out about this ALL WEEKEND! I don't want a new job!!!!!
I got to leave work at 3pm and take a nap at home. Or try to. I couldn't fall asleep and then Ryan came home and was banging around so I gave up and got out of bed. I was really excited to hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters, so around 5pm I dressed up as a witch and cooked us basil chicken fettucine. I started getting annoyed bc Ryan was in the computer room playing his computer game. So we ate dinner and then as soon as we were done, he disappeared back into the computer room and started playing online poker! At that point I was past annoyed...and got angry. I asked him if he could just come hang out in the living room while I handed out candy because I was lonely and it wasn't as much fun if I was by myself. He said that he hates handing out candy and he already paid to enter some tournament. He got really defensive and mad and asked why I couldn't let him have his "down time." I got so upset that I went to the bedroom and ripped off my costume and tried not to start crying. He came in later and we got into a fight about it...I asked him why he couldn't just enjoy the holiday and spend time with me, and he said I was always nagging him like I was his mom to get off the computer. Finally I just yelled at him to go back into the computer room and play his games bc I couldn't take it anymore.
I started calling friends but nobody answered except my mom...who told me to suck it up and let him play his game. Which just made things worse.
Around 6:30, I handed out candy for an hour and then we had to get ready for the costume party at Daton and Abby's place in Edmond. I realllly didn't want to go. We got there, and thank goodness Wes, Jana, Josh, John and Savannah were there so I knew a lot of people. We drank and played this funny bean bag game outside, and played flip cup in the garage. People were chanting "Palin! Palin!" when it got to me, it was pretty funny. Ryan and I ended up winning "Best Couple" for our McCain and Palin costumes. At the end of the night I was still mildly annoyed at Ryan but played it off pretty well.
Saturday was SUPER boring. We were going to go to the game with Josh and Jana, who offered us free tickets in the non-student section...then Ryan changed his mind and said he needed to study. Blah. So I caught up on shows that I had TiVo'd and did chores around the house. Ryan started getting sick later that evening and started throwing up in the bathtub...he guessed he got food poisoning from a salad we had for lunch. He was sick all yesterday and even threw up in our bed! I finally HAD to get out of the house, so I went to the mall (BAD IDEA) and got new clothes from Express. But I needed them! I don't have any winter clothes that fit me since I've gotten so fat.
Speaking of that, I walked/jogged 3 miles yesterday. I HAVE TO LOSE WEIGHT!!!! I was so disgusted with myself when I was trying on clothes that I cried. It's so easy to let myself go and not care.

Hurry Up Friday
I really hate Tuesdays. More than Mondays. Only one more hour left though! I think it's because there's nothing to look forward to when I get home...nothing on tv, and no events ever happen on a Tuesday.
However, I LOVE Wednesdays. It's the middle of the week and you can start making plans for the weekend, plus both of my interns are here on Wednesday. We also do a group lunch with everyone, and then when I go home there is always Pushing Daisies, America's Next Top Model, Lip Stick Jungle....oh, how I love TV!!!
Ryan and I went for a walk last night, it was nice. We had to take his mom's dogs with us. I'm trying to be nicer to them, but it's hard because one of them used to hate me and has bitten me a few times! The other one is really ditzy and ....not cuddly or cute. I want a dog soooo bad that it hurts!! I would get a long-haired daschund or a Cavalier King Charles spaniel.

NBA Oklahoma City Thunder Time!
We're going to see the new Oklahoma City NBA team play tonight in the Ford Center! I am kind of excited. Not thrilled, because I just don't really like sports...but I think it will be a fun atmosphere and at least I know Ryan is really pumped! I went down to Academy Sports at lunch and bought us both Thunder t-shirts. Mine is a youth large, and it's a bit too snug but it was the only one they had that I liked. I might stop by the one next to my house after work and see if I can exchange it really fast.

On Blogging
I miss Xanga!
I used to be such a great blogger...now, months go by before I post something new.
I changed my privacy settings today. Hi Rhiannon. You're the only one who can read this now, haha!

I am the world's most impatient person.
I am literally going nuts waiting on my stock to jump high enough so I can sell it and pay off my lawsuit. I can not wait to start ripping out the floors and painting in our new office space. I HATE WAITING!!!!
I really need another vacation. American finally sent us compensation for our awful Vegas trip, so I have $100 burning a hole in my pocket to travel.
I hired another cool intern yesterday.

A.D.D.
It's only Tuesday?! AHHHH!!!!!!
The minutes are draaagginggg on, it's painful. Still, I have to reflect back on my time at KTEN and know that I am blessed, without a doubt, to be sitting at this desk so I'll keep grinding away, and answer the phone with a smile.
Moving day is coming up, so excited. I hope Larry lets me decorate, I don't know if I can handle a 3-year lease if the boys decorate. I want to bring my green couch out from storage and keep it there, and I think Patrick is bringing his Wii...maybe a flatscreen? Anyways, it will be 100 times better than working with Jordan Associates!

Vegas Part Two
I don't feel like writing about Vegas anymore. Let's just say part two would include the rude waitress at breakfast, the $45 bacon and eggs meal, the rude dealers, losing $500 and Ryan losing $2500.
Some highlights were the Mystere show we went to (AWESOME!!! We were on the front row and I bought a soundtrack). And this unreal steakhouse we ate at in TI. The owner himself waited on us and the food was a-maz-ing.
This week has been dragging but at the same time going too fast. I have so much to do before the bachelorette party in two days, I'm freaking out!!!!!
I want to take a nap. I still have 7 hours at work to go.

Vegas Part One
Back from vacation and depression already sinking in....
Vegas was horrible. I really wish I would have made Ryan book the cruise instead!!! So many things went wrong that I am going to write this in sections.
PART ONE: The Flight
We left on Friday. Our flight was supposed to leave at 4, so I left work at lunch to go home and finish packing. When we got to the airport, the flight was pushed back to 5pm. No big deal, right? So we sat around reading magazines and waited....then the flight was pushed back to 6! At this point, we are going to miss our connecting flight in Dallas so we go up to the desk and they try to re-route us. No such luck- all of the flights to Vegas out of Dallas that night are full! The guy tells us he can re-book us on US Airways ( I guess they are connected to American Airlines somehow?) since there is a flight leaving from OKC at 10:15pm.
At this point we are really pissed off. We have to go back out to the front of the airport to get our suitcases at the baggage claim....we sit there for 30 minutes and the bags never come. Ryan had to go find an airline agent who told us they had been re-assigned to our US airways flight and nobody bothered to tell us. The ticket counter for US Airways didn't even open until 7:30 so we had to sit out front for 2 hours waiting, then go back through security again when we got our new tickets. Guess who gets pulled out of line for random frisking and drug-testing? Me AND Ryan!!!
Finally, finally we get on our flight 8 hours after we had arrived at the airport. We are about to take off when a lady comes running down the aisle, saying my name. She asks to see my boarding pass, looks at it, then demands for me to get off the plane. I look at her like she had got to be kidding. She just keeps saying we need you to get off the plane right away, and to bring everything with me. I am about to cry at this point. So I get off the plane and the TSA people are all out front, saying they are going to have to de-plane and asking me why my boarding pass isn't stamped. Apparently, when I was frisked the second time through security they forgot to punch holes in my boarding pass so the TSA people thought I slipped through security somehow and maybe planted a bomb on the plane. Ryan was still on the plane while I was outside and he said the flight attendents were on their walkie talkies saying something about a security breach. The TSA lady that searched me came running up and said that she remembered searching me, and that I was fine...she just forgot to punch my card. Gee, thanks.
During the flight to Vegas, we are seated behind two huge Oklahoman guys who said it was their first time on the plane. They kept slamming back into their seats and crushing our legs. The guy behind us kept clearing his throat every 5 minutes, and the lady across from him was drunk and laughed the ENTIRE plane ride there. I am not even making this stuff up.

Rob left really abruptly last Thursday and it will never be the same around here without him. He took a job at Schnake Turnbo Frank as a Senior Account Executive. Hopefully, we will keep in contact....We took him out to lunch at a restaurant down the street before he left and it was so sad!
I hate Jordan Associates.

This has been such a weird week.
Valentine's Day came and went. We celebrated early the day before and then again on the actual day. I don't know why. I think Ryan thought he was going to be too busy or didn't want to deal with the crowds, I'm not sure. On the 13th, I came home and there were two dozen pink roses on the kitchen table. He also bought a nice bottle of red wine and took me out to eat at Lemon Grass. Then yesterday I cooked Lemon Rosemary chicken and garlic dill potatoes. I gave him his gift and we had some white wine and watched a movie.
I'm such an emotional mess. Ryan has been really sweet this week, but I'm just not myself.
This weekend is Stef's baby shower. I am trying to be excited...I bought her some really cute things from Babies R Us this week. The weather is supposed to be bad, snow and ice. I don't want to drive 3 hours but I can't miss it since I couldn't make her wedding, she would never forgive me.
I want to go home. Larry is out of town and I am so bored I could cry.

It begins.
I'm starting up a new blog....after a 5 year hiatus! I doubt I'll stick with it, but who knows.
So, it's day two of sleep medication. I couldn't handle my chronic insomnia anymore and...this Ambien stuff really works! I can't remember the last time I slept so well. It knocks me right out. The scary part is, it does weird things to my head before I fall asleep and after I wake up.
Yesterday, I got up at 5:30 and felt like I was drunk. The room was spinning and I had to hold on to the furniture to make it to the bathroom. I worked out at the Y, but I barely remember going and the 20 min. I spent on the bike is really fuzzy. Scary! This morning wasn't as bad...I actually woke up before my alarm went off feeling really refreshed. I did 30 min. on the elliptical and came home, and then I remembered sending Ryan a really psycho text last night...
I took the Ambien at 8 and went to bed around 9. I think I fell asleep, but then Ryan came to bed and I woke up and wrote him a text message. I hardly remember writing it, but I looked today and this is what it says:
"There's illegal things to be shared tonight when the darkness falls o'er a blank grey slate, come follow me higher up, deeper still where he watches your sleeping ponies stop him fast no it's too late tyertykmhgfed."
It freaked me out to read it the next day.
